Grace knows that being a Midwestern girl in a great big city is a Hollywood novelty, but she wears the silver screen tale like an old hat - milks those sweet and naïve assumptions from coastal folks that all those cows and soybeans have surely reared a simple and wide-eyed young lady whenever it helps the cause. She figures she’s in the business of "knowing what you’re made of” and so she’ll play along.  Maybe create some fuel for the fire.

She lived in Indiana for her first twenty one years.  She was a ballet dancer until, at eighteen, her hips simply said "No, thank you". She studied musical theatre at Ball State University and graduated four years later, summa cum laude.

She fled north to Chicago soon after - a step in the right direction - and the work was good and the company better. With some hearty memories to look to on colder days she took a deep breath, unfurrowed her brow, and leaned toward the compass's tilt.

Grace is currently kicking it around in New York City.  She tends to several window plants, her tired hips.  She's still digging around for some undergrowth in what little soil the island boasts. A bit of earth that yields to weight and leaves an imprint - proof of all her travels and trudging.
